If you have read my previous blogs about our cruise around the scenic Scottish Isles, thank you for getting this far. It's been quite and adventure in more ways than one, not least writing about it and choosing my favourite photos to share with you. The thing is, I will probably be able to write more about it in this blog, but I am going to let my photos take centre stage this week.
Taking photos is always fun for me, even on days when it gets challenging. On this holiday I used my Nikon D610 the most and had to sift through 800+ photos to get to a manageable number for sharing here and on Flickr. With scenery that was breathtaking, it was hard to choose my shots and often I was snapping away like an excited child opening their Christmas presents. I had to exercise a little brutality with my pruning.
To be honest, my brain hasn't had this intense a workout in quite a while and I certainly needed it. My wife, son and I really enjoyed our holiday cruise around the scenic Scottish Isles. M.S. Bolette is a fine ship with an excellent crew and we have decided to try and save for another cruise to coincide with our 25th wedding anniversary in a couple of years time.
Here's a few favourite photos shot with my Nikon D610 and my AF Nikkor 24-120mm D series lens. I have placed these and more in an albums on Flickr for you to enjoy via the links below. I hope you enjoy them.
